What VigiChain is not
You will be able to tell the difference between what this network proves and what no network can prove.
Not a bank
Nobody here holds your money.
There is no deposit, no account and no institution in the middle. VigiBank is a view of capital you already control on-chain, not a place that keeps it; VigiWallet holds keys on your device and nowhere else. The consequence is symmetrical and has to be said plainly: nobody can freeze your funds, and nobody — including us — can restore them if you lose every copy of your keys.

Not an oracle of truth
A proof shows a thing existed and is intact — not that it is true.
The proof layers anchor commitments: this file, this state, this event, at this moment, signed by this key. That is genuinely strong, and it stops short of judgement. A document anchored on VigiChain is not thereby accurate; a sensor reading proven intact is not thereby correct. Any product that implies otherwise is selling certainty that cryptography does not manufacture.

Not finished
Some layers run, some are half-built, and the pages say which.
Across this site each layer carries its own status, and it is the code that decides the label rather than the ambition. Vigi Data anchors and verifies files today while its storage network does not yet exist; escrow releases value against signatures and heights while release-against-service-proof is still an extension. Reading those labels is part of learning this network.

Not a promise about price
This academy teaches a technology, not an investment.
You will not find a price prediction, a yield, or a reason to buy anything on any page of this site. Testnet VIGI has no monetary value, and what mainnet may one day be worth is not something engineering can honestly forecast. What can be taught is how the system works, how to verify it yourself, and how to take part in it — which is what the remaining five courses do.
